Notes regarding Horses for Sale

As my primary concern is finding the right home for each horse - please feel free to tell me as much about yourself and why you'd make a great home for one of my 'kids' as possible, you might be surprised how much this matters!   DIVORCE SALE: Prices have been greatly reduced - some are firm & some are obo, if you like one of my horses tell me why you are the perfect home and I'll work with you to make your Morgan dreams come true!  NOTE:  I may/will consider trades towards assets needed for my new farm (ex. riding lawnmower, arena harrows, portable panels), possibly livestock (cattle/goats/sheep - depending on location for hauling) and would consider breedings/stud fees, foals back, etc.  So if you see a stallion prospect, broke/started gelding, or mare/filly that you desire - talk to me!

Delivery:  I am willing to deliver to many areas for fuel costs only.  I am planning a delivery trip to the US, for this fall (after foals are safely weaned)!   At this time it looks like I will be heading across Canada to ON, then dropping south into IN, & OH. - I'm hoping to finalize plans to do this trip around the end of October for good roads and 'middle temperature' weather.  So delivery to any/all provinces and states along the route is easily arranged.

Registration Papers & DNA:  All my horses have Canadian Registration with the CMHA/CLRC and have DNA (proving parentage) on file.   Transfer of Canadian papers is included in sale price (ie. at no additional cost to buyer) unless arranged otherwise.    Many of my horses have AMHA registration papers as well, registration numbers for both registry bodies as applicable, should show on each individual horses page to make it easier for you to look up any additional information you choose.

Vet Exams:  For all horses being considered for purchase - I am willing haul them into town (approx. 45 minute trip one way) to a vet for pre-purchase exams, export/import paperwork etc.   This saves you the vets' 'farm call fee' (which is now up over $120).  You will need to supply the vet with credit card information for payment for services rendered.  For pre-purchase exams I will be happy to supply you with a list of vets to choose from, or if you want to do import/export papers only I will use one of our regular vets.

Payment Plans:  We are willing to work with buyers to arrange a suitable payment schedule to help make purchasing one of our Morgans easier!  No horse will be delivered until paid for in full.  GST will be added to selling price for Canadian Customers.  If a buyer wants a colt castrated - colt must be paid for in full previous to castration taking place and half of purchase price paid will be non-refundable after gelding.  Any serious offers will be considered (with many considerations affecting final price) good homes are a must!

IE:  I will work with you to make it as easy, affordable and as stress free as possible to add an Ammolite Morgan to your herd!

General notes regarding my horses

Health Care: All horses are kept current on worming, farrier work and vaccinations.  Dental is done on horses as required (broodmares were done spring of 09 with pregnancy checks).

Pre-purchase Exams:  We recommend all buyers get a pre-purchase exam done to ensure soundness for your intended use.  This is for your protection as well as ours!  All pre-purchase exam expenses are purchasers’ responsibility.

Heights:  As one of my ‘pet peeves’ is breeders who ‘pad’ the height of their horses in ads (or guess!) we measure our horses in the barn on a level concrete floor with the horse standing square, with a commercial measuring stick.  When we give ‘potential heights at maturity’ on a foal – please realize this is a best ‘guess’ based on its’ parents sizes and/or what previous crosses have been like.

Photos:  Photographs on this site were taken by myself unless otherwise stated in ‘photo credit’ under photograph.  We thank all those who have allowed us to use their beautiful pictures!
